The [ parasite EVE ] Drinking Game

1 drink whenever:

  • Someone pantomimes picking up a telephone receiver, but leaves the actual receiver in place (add another drink if they later "hang up")
  • Aya or Daniel drives somewhere by always going in a straight line
  • All the poison in Aya's bloodstream vanishes as soon as no monsters are in sight
  • Maeda gives Aya a completely useless trinket (2 drinks if said trinket can't be placed in storage)
  • A dying / wounded cop gives Aya an item
  • A car is seen moving around in NYC after the city has been evacuated
  • The player saves by calling the police station from inside the police station
  • Daniel tries to solve a problem with violence
  • A mutated wild animal drops medicine and/or clips of ammunition when killed
  • Aya forgets that her sister is dead and talks to Maya's ghost
  • A new day starts and Aya is wearing the same clothes as she did the previous day
  • A sudden telephone call is used to introduce a new plot element
  • Aya is unable to open a door or cabinet because she isn't facing it at the right angle (2 drinks if it takes an especially long time for the player to find the correct "hot spot" - use your best judgment as to how long)

2 drinks whenever:

  • Klamp does something blatantly suspicious
  • An assault weapon is found inside a box lying in the middle of a zoo, a hospital, or the American Museum of Natural History
  • Someone editorializes about gun control (3 drinks if Aya then uses a gun to defeat a terrifying, rampaging mutant within the next 10 minutes)
  • Mitochondria are described as "organisms"
  • Someone from the NYPD breaks into a building or room without a warrant
  • Maeda uses his allegedly poor English skills to explain a complicated scientific theory
  • Carnegie Hall is referred to as "the opera house"
  • Someone uses an arbitrary excuse for preventing Maeda from giving his special bullets to Aya
  • Bullets are removed from one category of gun and placed into another (i.e., from a shotgun to a grenade launcher, etc.)
  • Aya accepts a horse-drawn carriage ride from her arch-nemesis

3 drinks whenever:

  • Aya uses her omniscient knowledge of locks to determine that a key is no longer useful
  • A nuclear bomb is detonated in New York without harming any of the city
  • An NYPD beat cop speaks fluent Japanese
  • A climactic battle occurs at the Statue of Liberty
  • Aya starts running the wrong direction during a chase scene because the camera angle changed
  • The NYPD acts with complete disregard to the media (i.e., Daniel punching out a reporter, Aya babbling during the press conference, etc.)
  • Aya is carrying more than 4 guns and/or pieces of body armor at one time
  • Manhattan is calmly evacuated with no protest from any citizens, no looting, and no regard as to where the evacuated citizens will go
