Capcom's brief
fascination with Claymation characters began with Yo!
Noid. This ordinary side-scrolling platformer
stars the Noid, a little red imp with a big grudge
against pizza. He runs through a multitude of
stages, bonking enemies with his yo-yo and challenging
enemies to simple card battles. The characters are
big, but the gameplay is served cold, with nothing on
it. |

This game seems more like a
marketing device for the Yoshi character than a
legitimate puzzle game. In Yoshi, familiar enemies
from Super Mario Bros. drop from the sky, along with
halves of eggshells. Your goal is to shift the
panels at the bottom of the screen, sandwiching the
enemies between the shells. This creates Yoshis,
and a strong desire to play something better. |

When Mario's not out saving
the princess from hot-tempered turtles, he likes to kick
back and bake himself some delicious cookies.
Unfortunately, he gets a little carried away
sometimes. To keep his oven from overflowing with
fresh baked delights, you must sort the cookies in rows
and columns in a game best described as a one-sided
Rubik's Cube. |

If you've finished all the
Castlevania games and are still itching for some whip
smackin' goodness, you might want to give Young Indiana
Jones a try. Based on the television series, Young
Indy forces you to fight your way through key events in
history with your trusty whip, along with any other
weapons you can find. The gameplay is familiar but
competantly designed. |
