When aliens threaten
the world, only a pair of macho action film stars can
save our helpless planet. "Arnold" and "Sigourney"
grab laser cannons and strap on jetpacks, hoping to meet
the sinister extraterrestrials head on in this nicely
designed side-scrolling shooter that takes equal
inspiration from Capcom's Forgotten Worlds and Konami's
heavy-hitting soundtracks. |

Fearless Captain
Commando dons his spacesuit and flies through a
labyrinth of underground passages, guarded by flying
drones and other metallic menaces. The
surprisingly complex level structure makes Section Z a
more cerebral experience than most side-scrolling
shooters, making the clumsy weapon selection and other
minor quirks easy to forgive. |

Get your motor
runnin'... head out on the grid-way! Headin' for
adventure... and whatever weird enemies come my
way! Seicross is an oddball shooter where you
streak past strange shapes on a hovering
motorcycle. You'll shove competing bikers into
walls, then collect stars and blast dinosaur bones in
this competant conversion of the Nichibutsu arcade
game.
FAST
FACT: Look carefully at this game's title
screen. Yes, the developer spelled its own name
wrong on the title screen. Oh Pony
Canyon, will you ever stop sucking? |

Rubber ducky...
you're the one! You make this cartridge... so much
fun! There are two different games in Sesame
Street A-B-C, but the most entertaining of the pair is
Ernie's Big Splash. You'll create a path for
Ernie's favorite bathtime toy, leading it to his
tub. When the path is complete, the duck is sent
on a comical Rube Goldberg-inspired ride! |

The Count gets his
turn on the Nintendo Entertainment System in this
side-scrolling platformer with an educational
twist. Instead of grabbing coins, the friendly
purple vampire picks up floating numbers as he hops
through each stage. You're penalized if you grab
anything but the target number, but the Count announces
whatever you find in a cleanly digitized
voice. |

Are your kids having
trouble recognizing letters? Well, you're in
luck! Big Bird is here to help, letting your
children practice the alphabet and giving them friendly
advice when they make mistakes. The fluffy yellow
fowl tells your kids each letter he wants them to find,
but the rough voice digitization will sometimes make it
tough for them to understand his requests. |
