It's Baseball Stars,
before they were stars! Little League Baseball has
the look and feel of SNK's flagship sports title
Baseball Stars, but trades the big league batters and
pitchers for younger, more comical players. The
gameplay is as great as it always was, but the lack of
any real customization options puts the game a notch
below its big brother. |

It's another
Disney-licensed game with those great Capcom graphics...
but that not-so-great hastily designed gameplay.
As Arial, you just swim from one each of each linear
room to the next, trapping enemies in air bubbles and
throwing them at other fiendish fishies. Even the
fantastic cartoony artwork can't make up for the game's
complete lack of depth. |

Little Nemo is a
charming, candy-colored journey into slumberland, based
on the ancient comics from the early 1900's. To
fight enemies and find ways around obstacles, you'll
bribe animals with candy, then hop on them to use their
unique abilities. The game's only flaw are the
frustrating limitations you'll often face, both when
riding the animals and while on foot. |

From the land of the
Orient comes Little Ninja Brothers, a role-playing game
with a daring difference. Instead of turn-based
combat, you'll face your foes in action-packed battles
that play out like the fights in Culture Brain's earlier
release Kung Fu Heroes. Wacky portraits of each of
the supporting characters and a silly English
translation round out the package. |

Diverse heroes come
from around the world to save a threatened kingdom in
this enjoyable side-scrolling platformer, released late
in the life of the NES. You'll play as everyone
from a flame-spitting dragon to a towering rock golem,
using each character's skills to climb walls, fly over
pits, and beat powerful bosses. The gameplay and
graphics are both outstanding! |

Hardcore Lode Runner
fans won't like what Hudson has done to their beloved
puzzle game. The sleek star of the original has
been replaced with what appears to be the eager kid
sidekick of an science-fiction hero from the 1950's, and
the levels scroll horizontally, making it tough to keep
tabs on your enemies as you scurry up ladders and fill
your pockets with piles of gold. |

The Lone Ranger
blends together a variety of game styles... you'll
explore towns like in an RPG, gun down enemies from an
overhead view like in a shooter, and jump from platform
to platform while punching out dastardly villains.
There's even a scene that lets you use your OWN gun, the
Zapper, to subdue foes while walking through 3D
mazes. |

Loopz is one of the
few puzzle games worthy of the title "the next
Tetris". In Loopz, you place random pieces on a
flat surface to create (what else?) loops. The
longer the loop, the larger your score, but don't wait
to drop those pieces or you'll be sorry! You'll
hear spooky background music as you play, raising the
tension in an already stressful game. |
